Let me introduce myself…

I have been living in deep relationship to the natural world for as long as I can remember. It has been a place of refuge, a ground for growth, and a source of inspiration, but most of all it has been where I feel most at home and free to be me. 

I have embarked on many a journey that took me out into the natural world, and led me closer to my own inner nature. I began my relationship with horses before I could walk, and since then they have been my most consistent and life-long teachers of authentic presence and open, honest relationship with ourselves and others. 

I graduated in from Fairhaven College 2016 with a BA in Ecopsychology & Equine Guided Education and Therapy. While studying for my degree I spent many hours in the field, studying the ways in which the natural world can be a powerful container and catalyst for inner change and growth. I ventured deep into the Bob Marshall Wilderness of Montana with Chris Eyers and his band of mules and horses, where I was confronted with my deepest fears and re-discovered my own inner strength and wildness.

I received my Equine Guided Education Certification through Ariana Strozzi at Skyhorse Ranch in 2014, and subsequently began studying and working with Cassandra Ogier at the Reflective Horse for several years. During this time I facilitated equine-guided coaching sessions for youth and adults in treatment for mental health challenges, co-facilitated somatic riding workshops, and worked with private clients in equine guided exploration.

Since 2015, I’ve been studying the “Being with horses...” philosophy, taught by Sabine Birmann in Germany, which has significantly changed the way I interact with my own horse, and the way I view the horse-human relationship. In the fall of 2019 I hosted the first “Being with horses…” workshop with Sabine here in the Pacific Northwest.

I am currently in the process of pursuing my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University.
